Prepare to get all the usual remarks and taxi comments just because you mentioned the name Skyline on this forum! It all depends on what Evo you are looking at and if the GTR has to be stock or would be modified. Myself, TT paul and Gordy have all had R33 GTR Vspecs (i am sure there are a few others) so im sure they will pop along aswell and have an input.

The GTR is a great all round car, it does pull strong and hard when it wants to! Mine wasn't far off stock but with a few little mods like exhaust, fmic, avcr. It preformed faultless on DB15 and didn't miss a beat at all so that was a big plus for me. They cam be very expensive to tune up and i am led to believe that anything over 500bhp will need a fully built engine due to piston 5 (iirc) melts itself.

Servicing, maintenance and running costs are the same as you would get for a supra (can't compare to an evo as i have never had one....yet). Best thing i can advise is get a clean example and make sure the strut tops have been done, they have a common issue of rusting due to a nissan flaw with the triple skinned panels and waters sitting between the layers.

Here's an R33 GTR Buyers Guide if your interested to see it, its not as good as the supra one but it helps
