Soopra
When we cleared my mum's bungalow out I acquired a mystery piece of silverware. I can remember it from my childhood making it over 40 years old but I suspect it has been in the family longer. Unfortunately there is no one for me to ask. I've done a bit of googling and think it was made in 1756 and that the maker might be Thomas Wallis Do we have any resident experts or someone that could point me in the right direction please? https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/13237750_10154233169068928_5784097645448259130_n.jpg?oh=e846b088f0cd2f89c56151e82b9fed2f&oe=57E0D40B https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/13263794_10154233169368928_532808800512345673_n.jpg?oh=92c2b6002fde828a1eff55b83ec0ddde&oe=57D34842
Angarak
I think the maker was Thomas Wilkinson of Birmingham (1875 - 1933). His Trade Mark was a 'Pelican', his factory was named the 'Pelican Works'. http://www.925-1000.com/silverplate_W2.html http://www.925-1000.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=14729#p48422 http://www.birminghamconservationtrust.org/2015/02/06/friday-photo-pelican-works/ I base the above on the Pelican looking stamp and not the T.W as there are several with those initials. I'm by no means a silverware expert.
