Anyone here use Assetto Corsa? They've just released a Japanese Pack for it:

- Features Mazda MX-5 2015

- Features Mazda MX-5 CUP

- Features Mazda RX-7 Spirit R + tuned version

- Features Toyota Supra MK IV + time attack and Drift version

- Features Toyota AE86 Trueno + tuned and Drift version

- Features Nissan 370Z NISMO

- Features Nissan GT-R R34 Skyline V-Spec

Took the Time Attack Supra for a quick blast around Spa, looks and sounds great, but me and corners don't get on :)

Yes! I got this set up with a Logitech G27 whilst my Supra was away so I could pretend to drive some fast cars :D

It's a poor picture, but here's the setup I use for it:

I'd like to add a proper racing seat setup one day, but I've got better things to spend money on at the moment :(

Time to get it updated to try the Supra I think

That set up looks awesome! So does that game actually! Can you mod cars like forza or need for speed?

You can 'fine tune' them by adjusting certain parameters, but no, it's supposed to be a simulator above all else

Edit: Just seen the pack is £3.99 on Steam. Purchased!

@Tsia - Nice Setup, I've only got a single 24" with a Logitech T300 'Ferrari' GTE and TrackIR 5.

@JasonR24 - Example car setup basics video in AC:

From a brief 1 hour play with the Jap pack I've tried the normal Supra (JDM VVTI), Time Attack Supra and Nismo GTR. All of them are nice to drive, a noticeable difference between the handling of the 2 Supras and Nismo GTR is pretty impressive!

I had a quick race in TA Supra (swapped paint a couple of times lol):

I've got a GT Omega rig and Fanatec hardware. Project Cars on PS4 is what I'm on just now. Not a massive selection of cars but it spans a lot of classes so it keeps me entertained. I've got a Logitech G27 sitting doing nothing that I need to sell actually.

VR headsets are going to be such a game changer for racing. I was close to selling all my kit but came to my senses when VR was announced :D

I'm going to be trying out a HTC Vive next weekend as my friend has recently bought one. I can only imagine how amazing that will be with the steering wheel and pedals setup.

What would be the cost to get a decent 3 screen setup with the hardware to run these PC race simulators?

I'm not too familiar with PC set ups etc... I've got a g25 that I used with the ps3 but as it is not compatible with ps4 or xbox one ive spat my dummy out.

I'd say you'd be talking at least £2k if you're building up a decent system from scratch. It can be done cheaper if you want to build your own rig and stuff though. Plenty of rig builds with templates you can follow online. Logitech's G29 is pretty much exactly the same as the G27 but with newer console compatibility.

To give you an idea, I built the following spec 1 year ago for £1215.00 (inc vat) and it runs Assetto Corsa / Project Cars (pretty much all my other games) absolutely fine on max settings (on a single 24" monitor):

CPU: Intel Core i7 4790K 4GHz Socket 1150 8MB L3 Cache

CPU Cooler: Corsair Hydro Series H80i High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD5H Socket 1150 VGA DVI HDMI 8 Channel Audio ATX Motherboard

Memory: Corsair DDR3 2400MHz 16GB Vengeance Pro Red

PSU: Corsair RM 650W Fully Modular 80+ Gold Power Supply

SSD: Samsung 850 PRO 256GB SATAIII 2.5inch SSD (10yr warranty)

Case: Corsair Carbide 330R Black

GPU: 4GB GigaByte GTX 970 G1 GAMING

You'd pay similar money for a similar spec today (maybe more).

If you sweat money you could get a better GPU like the 980 or the new 1080 and for a triple monitor setup you could go G-Sync for the ultimate (but expensive) experience.
