Supra2jze
So today I took my car to work, its been running great for the last 2 months... I've took it everywhere (inc Japfest). 5 mins from the workplace engine randomly started to idle rough whilst in 'drive' & then all of a sudden engine cut off. I tried starting it again but it just wouldn't start, so I tried starting it again, this time revving it (I was on a roundabout), car started this time, then after a few seconds it began to drive like normal but the warning light came on & then I noticed the car engine became shaky & the lumpy sound started to stay. 3 hours later on my lunch break, I drove it 2 miles down the road to get lunch & the engine just all of a sudden cut off. Now Engine cuts off after literally 2 seconds of trying to start [:(s Model UK Spec Auto
T2 MSW
Sounds like a sensor has gone or going. You need to search on here on the process to check for error codes and go from there.
fastcar
Could be a MAP or MAF sensor. Sorry couldn't remember which it is on the UKs:(. Error codes will help for sure though
np89
Sounds like a MAF sensor fault, either the pipe has come off or the plug has come off it or the little element in it is dirty/goosed. Try giving the element inside it a spray with spray brake cleaner but DO NOT TOUCH IT. If that doesn't fix it I have a spare one
Dnk
Maybe contact cleaner would be better on electrical items

Mike2JZ
Check error codes, if they say nothing useful then figure out if you are missing spark or fuel. From there you can go into the electronics like sensors
supra_aero
When this happened to me the supra gave no sensible error codes. After lots of trial and error with various things turned out to be ecu. Needed to replace it
Supra2jze
Thanks guys, appreciate your response. So I called my mate round who is a mechanic he adjusted the Idle & the cars works fine. He reckons it could be a coilpack/spark plug issue. But I'll deffo have to look into the error codes.
