Dnk
I was always impressed with how good the UK set up worked on my car, even from high speed stops and trackday use What don't you like with yours ?
trebor69
hi after a big front brake set up anything considered , my uk calipers just dont seem good enough matt Have you got decent pads in them, that'll make a huge difference.
Dnk
I had stock pads in mine but with braided lines and Motul brake fluid, i'd replace the fluid first if its not been done for a while.
Big Mark
I had Motul fluid braided line and Chris Wilson pads in mine and they were really good but then went a bit off so I ordered a big brake kit (currently sat with customs) but I bled the brakes and that was all it took to get them feeling spot on again. But then pads were mega low so I put some cheap Apec ones in the front the morning of Dragonball and they just weren't in the same league as the Chris Wilson pads. So I'd definitely recommend bleeding the brakes first and then look at pads.
pay too play
hi ive got portifino race pads in but after some high speed braking they seem very wobbly after they have cooled there fine again ???? could this be down too pad deposits maybe ??? i have always used ds3000 ferodo pads just didnt want too waste money if there not gona be up too the job , as car is 750 bhp
kirky_123
im also at 700+on uk specs with port pads and toyota discs, i found they worked really well for a while but warped my front discs after 5000 miles, so ive just bought some project mu scr pro gt (2 piece fully floating) front disks and im currently making a set of laser cut brake ducts to cool the center of the disc, im going down this root as i dont want to mess up the brake bias of the car. Dnk
Does it make any difference what the cars hp is ? The brakes are stopping the weight of the car not the power of the engine. The extra hp just gets it to a given speed a little faster
pay too play
well exactly so a bigger bhp in theory will be doing higher speeds more regular , and on the same roads you will be going faster with more power

kirky_123
I would say power could come into it, it's increasing the velocity of which your car is moving forward assuming you would brake straight after accelerating, something along those lines any how. Discs were £650 all in from RHD Japan, that's the gold fully floating ones
