Sometimes when accelerating i get a raspy noise behind the dash, if the cars on idle and i rev it, i dont get the noise. Only when driving.

Dont know where to look?

Suggestions? Car is driving fine...just getting an annoying rasp

Found the culprit.

This is how much i love my Supra, home at 6am ish, up at 11. Jacked her up, the exhaust passed the hammer test, its solid, and so are the sheilds. But had a look around and found this, theres so much play and enough to vibrate like mad sometimes. Ordred 2 bushes from Toyota. Lots of threads about this, its the auto shifter to gearbox linkage. Im not so mechanically topped up as some of the guys here but i know enough that the play is not right! so glad its a cheap simple fix, £1 each for the bushes.

Well done for finding your Buzzy Gremlin. :)

If you want a total fix, fit a Lexus shifter linkage, it's same dimensions but with weights on it to prevent vibration.

Delboy 52 has one behind his garden shed. ;)

Thanks Mr P :) Ive already ordered the grommets, sounds like a cool mod, but if the grommets go in 10 years...:D itll still have to change them. Bloody got me wanting a lexus linkage now. Lol
