evinX
Also im getting a rattling sometimes when i come to a stop, youd think it was the exhaust but it all seems ok!
Max5437
No idea about the raspy noise but Have you checked the heat shield is on the exhaust properly for the rattling ? Mine appears to be loose and does exactly that when I stop at lights or start the car up cold

evinX
Found the culprit. This is how much i love my Supra, home at 6am ish, up at 11. Jacked her up, the exhaust passed the hammer test, its solid, and so are the sheilds. But had a look around and found this, theres so much play and enough to vibrate like mad sometimes. Ordred 2 bushes from Toyota. Lots of threads about this, its the auto shifter to gearbox linkage. Im not so mechanically topped up as some of the guys here but i know enough that the play is not right! so glad its a cheap simple fix, £1 each for the bushes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g77ttq9QOF0
David P
Well done for finding your Buzzy Gremlin. If you want a total fix, fit a Lexus shifter linkage, it's same dimensions but with weights on it to prevent vibration. Delboy 52 has one behind his garden shed. Thanks Mr P Ive already ordered the grommets, sounds like a cool mod, but if the grommets go in 10 years... itll still have to change them. Bloody got me wanting a lexus linkage now.
