Littler
Get the works done with the self healing film, Tim has his car sorted down there along with his 675LT I've seen both the 650S and the 675LT in the flesh and the finish is very good
far
cheers dude, watched them both, ive always avoided full paint protection film as i like waxing my cars, maybe if i do the level 3 detail and the paint protection it will look pristine under the film anyway everytime i wash it
Littler
Just like me, I use gtechniq c1/exo or a good sealant after a full detail (stage 3 or higher) then add a layer of quality wax just before a show or every so many weeks to really make the paint look it's best. If you have a full detail prior to the self healing film it will look fantastic each time, if there is a mark applying heat allows the film to 'heal'. I have it on my M5, had it on since February so it saw some winter weather and is used daily and it still looks good. But I still seal and wax my special car in the garage
far
its getting a level 2 pre delivery by Topaz as part of the purchase, ive just been quoted £4.5k for full PPF which seems good value My only thing is that it wont look as glossy and I wont be able to wax it whats the special car? ? Littler
That does seem reasonable I paid £4450 so seems about right. I need to clean the M5 and hopefully will do it this weekend if weather permits and will try and capture how glossy the paint looks, here is a pic prior to the PPF being fitted (the most glossy being a shot of the bonet lol) The special car is a 993 Carrera RS Clubsport, I'm ashamed to say it hasn't seen a road for 10 months
Stonkin
I would go for a full xpel ppf treatment. This can still be waxed should you wish

Littler
nice one mate, nice bunch of cars there, was looking at the M5 before I bought the finch Cheer, the finch is a very nice car, can be used all year round. The M5 can be but you have to be a little extra careful with the lack of 4WD I would go for a full xpel ppf treatment. This can still be waxed should you wish This is very true!
