Mike2JZ
Just put arp head studs on my engine, and the fastener size is 13mm. Thought the halfords 13mm bi-hex deep socket I had would be enough, but it dosen't clear the GE head as the wall is slightly too thick. Turned my workshop upside down trying to find something to fit, but no luck yet. Has anyone in the south east/london area got one I car borrow, or does anyone know where I can get one? Only one I've found online which looks like it will do is http://sg.rs-online.com/web/p/non-impact-sockets/0519759/ but it's dear. any suggestions? robby a
Just grind the outside of the socket till you can fit it through the hole
Andy Blyth
An imperial 1/2 inch socket will fit better. It's a little less than 13mm.

absz
Here's a link of the one I bought but it still needed grinding down to fit https://www.cromwell.co.uk/shop/hand-tools/deep-skt-1-2inch-sd/kennedy-bi-hexagon-deep-sockets-1-2inch/f/4413

Chris Wilson
That Blyth man knows his ~#@& Quality sockets are usually thinner wall than crap ones as the decent material they use means they don't need as much of it Be wary of grinding sockets down, or turning them down. If they break up you may find bits of steel have disappeared down an oil drain hole, or down into a valve spring recess. Then you will be cussing.
