ARP Head Stud Washers

Recommended Posts

Got some arp head studs for my ge that I'm putting back together. Been reading on the US forums that some people have had issues with the washers supplied with the kit eating into the head as they are smaller than the oem washers.

Anyone here got an experiences with this, or advise on if I should stick with the oem ones or not?

Edit: Just compared and the oem washers and arp are the same size, so I should be ok

Have a look at this video, this guy uses the standard washers for that reason, although he has to remove the studs and put the washers in the gaps first as they wont fit with the studs in place

You can place the washers on the head first using some APR lube to hold them in place before offering the head down onto the studs, no need to remove studs to fit washers

Yep exactly, i was reffering to the guy in the video as he had already put the studs in so he had to remove them and start again
