Chris Wilson
That Naz Shah bint suspended, then Livingstone, and now John Mann summoned to the Chief Whip's office. They'll be partying in Tel Aviv tonight! Makes a change from calls for virtually all leaders, old and new, of Yorkshire public services to commit Hari-Kari I suppose. mc92
No more so than the tories are imploding over brexit. I agree that the sooner Corbyn is out the better, and that's coming from a loony lefty. The man isn't exactly giving labour a good name at the moment. And I don't see why labour imploding is a good thing. A strong opposition is an essential part of democracy regardless of whether you agree with them.
Westcoaster
Labours branch office in Scotland already has imploded, the latest polling suggests that out of 129 Scottish Parliamentary seats, the SNP will win 71 seats, with the Tories on 23, Labour on 20, the Greens on nine, and the Liberal Democrats on six! A generation ago, Labour were ubiquitous in Scotland, their leader here, Kezia Dugdale, has the lowest approval rating at a risible -5! Amazing to think Tories could get more votes than Labour in Scotland ! As you say unthinkable in times gone by,however they do seem to have lost their way. j_jza80
I'm struggling to believe that, on the day, the Tories will win more seats than Labour. If it does happen, there will be all out war within the party. Given the divisions now apparent in the party, and Corbyn's huge support from the membership, the stage is set for a split. Unlikely in the event, but it has happened before.

Agreed, but there is the issue, Labour are not a strong opposition, for example Corbyn from my understanding has always been anti EU but for some reason is now backing the remain campaign

Tories are leaving him huge openings to go on the attack but for some reason he wants to be the nice guy in politics while saying outrageous things about the Falklands etc that damage Labour further. I can't understand why they made him leader.

I can't understand why they made him leader. Many Tory people paid £3 to join the Labour Party and vote him in. I can't confirm or deny if I spent £3. Chris Wilson
Diane Abbott, lacking in pulchritude but not hypocrisy, has been back treading like hell, I was hoping she'd make another of her wondrous faux pas and be unable to resist adding to the affray. http://blogs.spectator.co.uk/2016/04/diane-abbott-gets-cold-feet-about-ken-livingstone/ Seems her chumminess with Livingstone is deletable when her career might suffer. A Jewish friend made me aware of this article, and it rings very true to me: http://blogs.spectator.co.uk/2016/04/labours-anti-semitism-problem-stems-from-its-grassroots/ interesting article. "but because of demographic changes in the UK in certain areas it has to run on a covertly racist ticket. Try getting elected in Bradford as a Jew or a philo-Semite." points to a larger issue that no one seems to be addressing......

Chris Wilson
ANOTHER TWO members suspended: The party said Monday that Nottingham City councillor Ilyas Azis has been suspended pending an investigation. Salim Mulla, a Blackburn with Darwen city councillor, was suspended hours later. If these ethnic MP's, councillors and politicians spent as much time worrying about their adopted homeland instead of Israel and Palestine they might be better thought of by the general public. The British media and Parliament isn't there solely as a stage for their less than selfless agendas.

Westcoaster
Labour's demise in Scotland continues, they are now the third party behind the SNP, the Ruth Davidson party (Tories - she's shy about putting the brand on her election material!) and then Labour. The Greens are ahead of the Liberals, who are in the wastelands with fifth place.
