Tariqd
Hi all, my supra lands in about 2 weeks at Southampton and I am wondering if anyone has recommendations of who to use to pick up the car and deliver it to London? I am considering taking train and driving it back but I am not looking forward to paying petrol for a 250 mile trip and constantly getting pulled over by police. Also I know it sounds silly but would a transport vehicle allow me to ride passenger with them if they collect my vehicle to deliver it home? The wait is killing me now haha and any help is always appreciated thank you

Mike2JZ
I used a guy local to me who you could try calling for a quote. He gave me fair prices and has done a few supra's down our way, and is a petrolhead himself (name is dave). Oh and he gave me a passenger ride back. Used him a few times now and always been very happy with his service Edited April 27, 2016 by Mike2JZ (see edit history)

berg
Driving it back would be the best bit! Also why are you going to be constantly pulled by the police?
Guest oldtimer
Driving it back would be the best bit! Also why are you going to be constantly pulled by the police? Ditto that. It's an easy train journey and return car journey from London to Southampton.

Tariqd
Driving it back would be the best bit! Also why are you going to be constantly pulled by the police? A couple of people have told me they've been pulled over on the drive back from Southampton due to a lack of plates. The drive back would definitely be amazing dont get me wrong haha

Fitz
Are you registering the vehicle yourself? Or is the import company registering it? If the latter they should have all the papers and plates assigned to the car ready for collection?

If the latter they should have all the papers and plates assigned to the car ready for collection? Currently I plan to register it myself as I have all the documents, but I've been told I need all sorts of nonsense paperwork when collecting it and to get it registered so I am considering getting a mate who works in the import business to do it for me. I would really like to do it all myself however and be able to drive it home that day. Again, the police problems put me off lol
