Doughie
I *might* have a knackered BOV on my car, and i'm going to test it this weekend in the time-honoured way. If it is kaputt, shall i stick an OE Toyota one on ? how much are they ? Or an aftermarket one ? I'm not really a huge fan of that aftermarket BOV noise, but if someone can convince me it's better to get an HKS (or whatever) one than a stock one then .....fine. thoughts and advice please. Nic
Without your cats and the NUR-spec exhaust then I guess you are running higher than stock boost which may be the cause of stock BOV packing in, if you get a standard replacement then it too may not be able to cope with the pressure. Go for the HKS BOV, you'll grow to love the sound of that whoosh, it certainly makes the car sound special and turns a few heads.
GavinL
Hi... Leon says the stock one is fine for my car. I don't like loud BOV's so I am staying as I am. regards.....
Dipstick
There is a page on MKIV.com that shows how to make a system running two stocks BOV's. I presume for higher boosting cars.
