Guest oldtimer
Hi Scooter & Matt - Thanks for your help. I have just been reading over your comments from earlier now that I had a few minutes to take it in. Are you saying that the cold crank should be okay to circulate the oil if the levels are okay and there are not leaks (which I don't there are in a major way) so that I would not need to drain? Are these the steps? - remove the EFI Fuse (like this: ) - Try to turn the crank pulley by hand (how much?) If it moves: - reconnect the battery and try to start Any first steps for cleaning the engine bay but not screwing anything up that anyone can recommend? Other bit I picked up: Check Tyres for condition Drain part of fuel and dilute Check if brakes are seized Have a look underneath to see extent of any damage rust check brake hoses and radiator criss member in particular optional extra - remove everything, polish it and paint it yellow. ..p.s. please don't tell me the power steering repair is easy that's why I parked her in the beginning! MattP
If you look at this picture you can see 4 black square fuses closest to the wing. the EFI fuses are the 2 Black Square ones furthest away from you assuming you are looking at the fuse box from that orientation. If you look on the underside of the fuse box cover it will say EFI main/EFI 2 pull them both. Check the engine oil first make sure it has enough then turn the ignition key to cold crank it fingers crossed it shouldn't start.
