Stonkin
Evening all, Here we have Branner's Supra and a heart warming reason for it arriving with Invisible Touch. Some time ago, all the Dragonballer's got together and decided they wanted to give something back to the man who for many years has gone out of his way to organise a fantastic event for the club members. They decided to treat his Supra to a detail and this was a gift from them and Invisible Touch to say thankyou for the many weeks worth of work, every year, involved in organising a safe and thoroughly enjoyable road trip, with great company across some of the best roads in Europe. Branners brought his supra to me a few weeks ago to redeem his gift. This was the car on arrival Edited April 23, 2016 by Stonkin (see edit history)
Stonkin
Moving inside the boot, the contents were emptied. Well what else would you expect to find inside a Dragonball organisers boot! JB asked me to remove any previous Dragonball graphics Inside the engine bay
Stonkin
The car was then jetwashed down and all door/boot/fuel shuts, light surrounds and seals were cleaned with APC The wheels were then cleaned with Bilberry and tyres degreased with APC. The engine bay was cleaned and degreased. The car was washed via 2 bucket method, clayed to remove contamination, washed again and brought inside to be dried. Stonkin
Paint thickness readings were taken and the car inspected, with a couple of areas requiring some more careful and lighter machining. Tape applied to all seals and lights, any additional tape applied at the time of machining. Overall the paintwork wasnt hugely swirly across all panels and with the colour it was hard to pick these up on camera at times. But there was evidence of holograms after previous paintwork and the colour was just lacking some clarity. I carried out a Stage 1 paint enhancement with the Makita Rotary, Meguiars pads and polish. All panels IPA'd to ensure no polish residue and a squeeky clean surface ready for additional products.
Stonkin
A rear quarter blend line was removed as much as safely possible. Found in the typical place on all Supras
Stonkin
Headlights were letting the front end down, so these were also machined Once all machining complete, Lime Prime Lite prewax cleanser was applied and followed up with 2 coats of sealant Stickers removed and glass given a much needed clean on the inside Moving to the interior
Stonkin
This was hoovered and everything cleaned with APC. Doorcards, dash and rear seats were then treated with Poorboys natural look dressing. Front seats were treated with Gliptone conditioners. The scuttle panel, rear lights, door sills and all seals were treated with Autoglym Bumper Care The engine bay was treated with Aerospace
Stonkin
Finally, Poorboys wheel sealant was applied to the alloys, tyres dressed and exhaust polished.
