Facelift Rear Lights on a UK Spec - Fog light

Hi all

Recently fitted some facelift rears to my UK car and now the rear fog lights don't work when switched on.

I've done a bit of a search but can't find a definitive guide on upgrading lights specifically on a UK CAR as obviously the fog light switch and wiring is already there as standard. I don't think i need to get as complicated as the enclosed to rectify......

Help!

Thanks :)

Greg, can't you use the existing cable from the fog light button, and alter the loom to use the inside brake light as a fog light on either side as they are dual element bulbs?

Hi mate

Thank you I'll give this a bash I guess.

If not I'll just find a friendly MOT man :)

Could modify the Rear light loom.

If you can release one of the pins in the loom that exits the car, basically move the pin for the reverse light to match the fog light wire already in the loom.

Or you take your old UK spec loom and cut the plug off with som tails and then re-solder is so that it doesn't have a reverse on one side and is now a fog

You would have to run a red bulb but no problem there

Might be worth pm'ing Si/Heckler Greg, I'd guess the pcb that he sells would do the job for you but would be worth checking with him as I'm sure he'll know.

Yeah thanks Jim, don't really want to start hacking at the stock fog loom if I can help it.

The latter is a good shout Matt, although sold my pre-facelift lights and looms a while back :(

I Will have a look in my rear light box, I bought some UK spec lights but cant remember if they came with looms, although will most likely have a pre-facelift loom you can have
