cered
So at work yesterday I hit the button to unfold the mirror, left one unfolded however the right one stayed folded, so wound down the window and opened it manually. Drove back home, and when I closed the door there was a crack/snapping noise and the right mirror can now be pushed from left to right slightly as if one of its mounts has snapped. When pushing the powerfold button the left mirror works as normal but the right mirror does nothing - locked in open position, no whirring noise from motor either so it's completely dead. Any ideas / suggestions? Did try looking but only threads I could find where for if both mirrors stopped working
salaar
I have no clue (and could be wrong) but I would take the mirror apart and test to see if current is flowing using a multimeter? Hopefully there is and then you can just change the mirror/motor otherwise I guess you'd have to search down the line and see if there is a break or fail in the wire? Guest Budz86
That happened to mine; guess the folding motor gave up the ghost. I replaced it with a second hand one of the same colour
bebby
So you can just change the motor out, and keep the casing as I really don't want to have to get a new set and a respray If so how do you go about it?

Easily swapped
