Jellybean
Hi What is the best way to tap in a Fuel Pressure sensor to the OEM fuel rail , and Oil Pressure Sensor to the block? thanks
Wez
Ive not seen a fuel pressure sensor fitted into the rail, they are normally fitted at the fuel reg. Oil pressure and temp are normally done with an oil filter take-off adapter, temp can also be done in the sump with a sump plug adapter. Mike2JZ
Not sure about fuel pressure on the stock rail, but with oil pressure you could get an adapter so you can run the stock sensor and an aftermarket one off the stock location on the block. Jellybean
Thanks , Think I have a spare plug on my Greddy Sandwich plate for the Oil pressure sensor Think they are 1/8 NPT (Defi Guage oil pressure sensor is in there) Edited April 14, 2016 by Jellybean (see edit history)
Chris Wilson
I drill and tap the oil filter assembly hollow bolt and either run a -3 hose direct to a mechanical gauge, which I prefer to electronic, or to a remote sensor away from the heat and vibration of the engine. I either weld a boss in the sump if it's off the car and fit a temp sensor there, or fit a temp sensor in an adaptor that replaces the stock sump drain plug, although it's a bit vulnerable down there. I'm afraid I consider Defi gauges the equivalent of a compass found in a Christmas cracker

Tap the rail , maybe get an after market FPR and Fuel pulsation bypass line
