ShawnPreece
I recently used the White tyre writing pens to fill in the "TOYO" and the "PROXES R888" on my tyres, I used pens off amazon and also from halfords but they ended up flaking off in parts within 10-15 miles of putting them on and now iv done a lot more they look a right mess..... Is there a better type of paint to use or a better method of achieving the same result?

Ahh ok I have got a load of cans of Toyota white 040 so could be worth a shot, making the stencils would be a pain though lol
Ric
Would need to be a flexible paint in order to stay on a tyre, I expect normal 040 when dry would just crack and fall off first time you take a corner or bump.. White plastidip could be best. Or the one Big-mark recommended, frost coat or somthing
masterfett
if you want to spray it the easiest way would be to go to an art shop and get some masking fluid, just paint it generously round the letters then cover the rest of the wheel with newspaper and spray away then peel off the fluid! i used a pen from halfrauds.. hasnt lasted well to be honest. Ahh ok haven't heard of frost coat il have a little search on it if you want to spray it the easiest way would be to go to an art shop and get some masking fluid, just paint it generously round the letters then cover the rest of the wheel with newspaper and spray away then peel off the fluid! i used a pen from halfrauds.. hasnt lasted well to be honest. Good idea cos yeah can see it being a long process to mask it all properly lol, not that i mind at all as would be worth doing to get good results but anything easier is always good lol, yeah both the halfords pen and the Amazon pen didn't last at all for me

Hemanhead
There is a company that make stickers for tyres. Apparently these work well. https://www.tirestickers.com/shop/ I'm sure someone posted the link to a UK company recently that does the same thing; but i cannot find the link for you. mc92
I think the best way I've seen for permenantly doing it is the rubber stickers that places like Tredwear do. They're supposed to last better than painting.
Scooter
Search for Team Tarmac on facebook and apparently they are the first uk distributors for Tredwear stickers? I know and can vouch for the guy (Matt Grundy) with the (dubiously styled!) bronze 350Z on the facebook page
