Dnk Posted May 30, 2016 Author Share Posted May 30, 2016 I didn't go up in the Spitfire Wez, it was my sisters 50th birthday present from my mother, she got to fly it and said how quickly it responded to small inputs on the stick. She said one of the highlights was going out over the channel at Beachy Head and then along the cliffs. I was offered a flight as they had spaces free but I had to restrain getting the MasterCard out, i'm refurbishing a shop at the moment so my funds have to go to that, rather boring but sadly reality. Dnk Posted May 30, 2016 Author Share Posted May 30, 2016 After Biggin Hill we drove round to Brooklands and stopped there for the night, had a walk on the old circuit and a look round Mercedes World which is impressive, has its own test track with skid pan etc. Well worth a look if your in the area, the hotels a tad on the pricy side but the rooms are very good.
