Mamos95
Hi all. New to the forum and I need help with my GE auto. Recently replaced the engine due to a bottom end problem. Everything is connected and all the earths are clean and bolted on. There is a spark and petrol going through the fuel rail but the injectors aren't getting any power to pulse and send the petrol though. I've tested them and the left pin has no connection at all but the right one has negative when ignition off and live when ignition on. Any ideas? Just purchased a new ECU. Hope it's to do with that. Thank you. Sent from my iPhone
absz
How did you test the injectors as they only open for milliseconds when firing? its uses a negative signal from ECU to trigger but can only be tested using a Scope
Shane
Check the earth that always gets tucked up under the inlet has been put back: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=187142&d=1402933309 Also, check you have 5V and 0v at the Map sensor, obviously one of the 3 wires on the sensor will be varying dependent on vac. We spent a day getting to the bottom of my wifes NA a few years ago with similar symptoms and it was due to the earth shown being left off. Only discovered it when I checked the voltages at the map sensor and realised the ground leg was sitting high due to this earth being left off and tucked out of view.
