Tanabe Medallion Touring & MOT Time

Time to MOT my Supra, this will the first one for me.

It's a Stock UK Spec w/a full Tanabe Medallion Touring - Deacat.

Can't find a friendly MOT tester...but a local Mechanic I know was able to get a pretest for me, as we got the car up on ramps (when he had a spare five) and he said it's worth a try...anyway the car failed, obviously as it was tested as post Aug 1992 UK car...

Luckily I have the full stock system (just have to dig it out) but have VERY limited space to work in if any at all.

Is it possible to throw in one of the CATs temp, to pass?

The Stock exhaust flanges use spiral gaskets, not sure what the Tanabe uses...hopefully they are compatible

PS: why does the Supra have 2 CATs anyway?

I own a Diesel...so yeah! And another import JDM car and never have to deal with CATs.

Waxoyl your diff whilst your under there. ;)

Ha ha, good spot!

I'm def a fan of Tetraseal and this is the first time I had the car raised. So I will beg to maybe borrow the lift for a little bit to seal it. Can't believe where the fuel filter is!

And if anyone noticed my Getrag is leaking...

Thanks guys, I'll dig the 2nd cat out and replace it.

Wish me luck!
