Richie_k83
Hey all, I am thinking of changing the Exhaust on my NA Auto J-Spec. Just wondering if anyone has fitted a cat back exhaust from a TT model before? If so, was it a straight swap? Or is there more to it? Second question, I have removed the rear seats and seat belts as i have a cage fitted, i have trimmed and refitted the rear interior trim but i dont have the plastic sections for where the seatbelts go. Does anyone sell a blanking plate? or perhaps has them spare? I think they are part of the belt if i remember correctly... Chris Wilson
TT and NA cat back systems are interchangeable, including VVTi. There are differences in 1st and 2nd cats themselves though, and in de cat pipes.
Richie_k83
Ahh good to know. Is the cat difference the length? Or internals?
Chris Wilson
VVTi 1st cat has a different top flange angle. NA are totally different twin pipe 1st cats. UK 1st cats have a much bigger top flange to Jap and VVTi ones. UK 2nd cats have a hole for the second O2 sensor UK / US / EU cars come with. The 2nd cat flanges are the same, and you can fit a UK second cat to a Jap spec car if you blank off the 2nd o2 sensor hole.
