SaqTRD
Hi guys/gals! Took the Supra out for a bit of run what you brung action this past weekend. The car is JSpec BPU with stock fuelling and Stock ECU. I've stuck a 3800 histall in it and got a set of drag tyres. Managed to consistantly run in the very low 12's. Best run was 12.1 @110mph. Well chuffed! I decided to strip the car, take all the seats out at Santapod to see if I could creep into the 11's but it made no difference what so ever LOL. I think next step is E-Manage and Bigger injectors, that should see me into the 11's. Any other ideas?
mplavery
Great time mate Lol must be more you can do.. your so close to the 11's Strip the inside again, tape up all the lines, fold your mirrors in lol

Hemanhead
Have read quite a few arguements about LSD's and drag racing now and most people say it makes no difference If the wheels are spinning you aren't winning. Could make for a good discussion. I looks like you are launching pretty well with almost no wheelspin, and although i dont know what you're 60ft times are (guessing 1.7 - 1.8 ?), the four times quicker than you all have between 114 and 120 mph terminal speed so I suspect than answer you are looking for is more power, not a bad thing is it Edited April 5, 2016 by Hemanhead (see edit history)

I 'think' a lsd helps further, I have open diffs in my auto tt's at the minute and forward progress is rubbish once a wheel starts spinning, a stock lsd is better and I think a tighter TRD etc diff would be better still? The quickest 1/4 mile stock twin based TT had a TRD diff in it.

Thats what these online arguements are based around, spinning the wheels whether its one or two isnt helping, so you'd look at another reason as to why you are breaking traction in the first place. LSD's really help turning in and exiting corners I thought, thats where i notice it in my car anyway. Id rather spin two wheels than one though ! JackyBoi
TTC is a good idea indeed. I'd be thinking larger injectors and fuel pump to suit, maybe even some cams? Low 12's is an excellent time indeed but I can imagine that bug of 'I need to go faster' has set in hard

I was going crazy! Like I said I started stripping the car at santapod to see if i could shave some time off! LOL! Made no difference. I think you're right, ECU and Injectors is next on my list. Nah not this weekend mate. Probably next weekend. I wasn't going to go back till i get an ECU and injectors but this whole TTC thing has got me thinking. Would be cool to go into the 11's with a stockish car.

Ah shame, if its not raining all day I will be there and running. 11s would be great but for me that's a long way off. Took me long enough to get into the 12s tbh. You've done well to get where you have and keep thinking I need a hi stall in my life now.

A lot of santapodders dont realise that you dont have to leave the line as soon as the light turns green. I sit there and boost build till i'm ready to go. And drag racing is all won or lost in the start. Hi stall is the way to go, i know alot of guys here hate them but I couldn't drive an auto supra with out one now. Completely different machine. I'll take you out in mine one day if you want. Your not that far from me as I work in Milton Keynes. Or maybe meet up at santapod and you can have a passenger ride. OK thanks, I seem to think you live in Luton, didn't I drop your ticket for an event off one time or am I thinking of someone else? I am in Luton regular as the old lady still lives in Round Green so maybe we can work something out if you are there.
alibabba
Great ET! Surprised by the low mph, however this could be the high stall. What are your allignment settings? I would look into some 550cc injectors and afc. Then put in some high octane fuel (or blend with E85), reset the ecu and go. Should get you in the 11s pretty easy
supradanturbo
Good times. Ive got a similar setup. But my car is stumbling on the line when brake boosting. Did you have a similar issue. And how did you solve it
