Guest KRYP10NYT
Hi guys. Need some advice. I recently installed a stand alone engine management system. Now I noticed that the Master Caution Triangle stays on. Although I am not having any problems with the car. Is this normal when going stand alone management? Or is there some issue I should look at? Style
The light shouldn't be coming on. Maybe check earths and connections around the ECU in case you've yanked something loose
Guest KRYP10NYT
Hi Style. Thanks for the advice. I have already checked all that. Is there something I still need wired on the oem ecu
Style
What ECU have you installed? Is it a plug and play or have you had to splice into the harness? I'm not sure what parameters the master light covers but maybe see if you can find out and start ticking them off until you find something. Handbrake is off, right? Stonkin
brake fluid level, boot release catch, active spoiler, blown bulb? Edited April 5, 2016 by Stonkin (see edit history)
Wez
If its an AEM v1 then the light does come on when connected to a JSpec motor, there is a wiring difference, I am going back a long time since I did one though.
