Luckily it was clean as a whistle, but found this sitting in the yellow fuel reserve. Anyone have any idea what this may be or if it's meant to be there? So who knows how it got there, but supra must of been running with it in the tank like that for ages so shouldn't be any different if I take it out the tank. herbiemercman Posted April 7, 2016 Share Posted April 7, 2016 Yep i am a rare breed and i did it, but never again, it took ages to syphon out, and then had to short out the fuel pump to get the last dregs, filled up with petrol, but would stil not start, as a last resort i tried the old Indian trick and poured a cap of petrol into the air intake, it started on two pots,then back fired and set the top of the engine a blaze, it fortunately only lasted for a few seconds, but quite a scare. Eventually got it started cranking with foot flat on floor, it ran perfect after that and i put a full bottle of Whynns fuel enhancer in. Apparently this happens a lot on all cars and there are companies dedicated to recovering the situation, it only needs you to be not concentrating and you gone and done it. Herbie.
