Jellybean
Is this the same as M12x1.5 , just double checking but based on metric conversion charts it appears to be Is an Air temp sensor more common in 1/8NPT ot 3/8 NTP? I am having the intake Trac CNC blanking plate tapped http://www.epsmotorsport.com/shop/product.php?id_product=
Chris Wilson
On a TT none VVTi (maybe VVTi as well, would need to look) there's already an air temp sensor in the plenum, where it is better put. The air flow is laminar in the throttle body region. Put it in the plenum. 3/8 NPT is NOT the same thread as M12 x 1.5 Without looking the Marelli air temp sensor I use is, from memory is M14 x 1.5 It's a fast response one, and uses a cheap, easily found Bosch Mini Timer connector. EDIT You can check on the pdf attached
Jellybean
thanks Chris , I wasnt too sure where the temp sensor was in the JDM 2JZGTE NonVVTI , looking on the parts catalog diagrams ; could not find it so taught maybe it was only avaialble in the UK/USDM model Just got the the blanking plate tapped with the 3/8 NPT , can blank it off , was only 5 dollars extra From talking to the Link guys , the sensor needs to be in the PCLink drop down so it is calibrated in the software ; just went 3/8 to play it save as they said to use the bosch
