That explains the sideways bit Mark. Was it wet?

No, bone dry!

It doesn't take many hard laps of Goodwood for the old J-spec brakes to fade to nothingness, so I end up seriously engine-braking into corners when I don't think I'm going to slow down in time!

Like I say, I'm no expert so I end up sideways quite a bit, which is good fun but quite often scary as well! :D

I do love Goodwood though, its a great track for the Supra, really fast.

Mark - Treat Goodwood with respect. Even UK brakes aren't up to the job. Try braking into Woodcote from about 135 and leave it until after the kink.

Is Woodcote the last corner before the chicane, after the long back straight with a slight kink in?

If so, then I HAVE tried braking there from 130+, hence the number of sideways moments I've had there!! :D

The bit that scares me is (sorry I don't know the names) the right-left bit just before the long right-hander over the back corner (if that makes sense!), as the camber of the track causes some mad weight-shifting, scares the crap out of me every time!

I'm sure I push the car beyond my ability, but then you never learn what the limits are if you don't try to reach them!! :)

I have a 1997 manual TT two years now and it always clunked changing to second when cold,I had a 5 speed N/A before and the gear change was much smoother and more positive but then it only had 220hp to handle.

I agree with what other members claim it`s a bit agricultural but strong.

It sounds like a rare car VVTI and Manual.

Good Luck with it.

Frank.
