j_jza80
Boost solenoid, vac lines, wastegate, actuator, intercooler pipes, wiring, manifold or turbo issue. Lots of potential culprits, but easily identifiable with a bit of process of elimination. Just be thankful you don't have a TT
Tsia
Eh, thankful - but still a lot of potential things to check... somehow
j_jza80
There's no fixed way of sorting things like this, just be methodical, look and listen for anything unusual. Or take it to a garage.

Tsia
Turns out I'm just a tit. Upon using a reliable bit of software (The ECU and it's map sensor, plugged in to laptop) it gives me a proper boost reading, which is all in line. Guess I am just getting used to it It wasn't peaking as high as it should have been on the gauge due to the cold air causing it to hit the soft boost cut, I had the dial a touch too high. Thanks guys.
