Chris Wilson
One of my full size diving air bottle valves has started to leak. I dismantled it and temporarily fixed it, but it needs replacing. Ideally I need the whole assembly that screws into the neck of the bottle. (I use the bottles in the workshop or to take on call out jobs, not for diving). Ebay shows ones in the USA, has anyone access to this sort of thing over here please? Thanks.

David P
If it's a DIN fitting, there's plenty in out dated steel bottles on ebay. http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.XDiving+cylinder+DIN+fitting.TRS0&_nkw=Diving+cylinder+DIN+fitting&_sacat=
Chris Wilson
Thanks Tricky / David. I will look at Ebay for a cheap complete cylinder if I can't find just the valve. I fill my own these dfays, as out here in the sticks it was an expansive nightmare taking bottles miles for refilling.
David P
There are some pillar valves going for around a tenner on there.

David P
Looks like you snoozed and loosed, there's a new one here for £19 inc P&P. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/San-O-Sub-M26-Outlet-M25X2-EN144-Cylinder-Valve-Nitrox-/201097448388?hash=item2ed2578bc4
Chris Wilson
Like most things in life, the deeper you look the more you realise there's a lot more to learn. This "diving bottle" may not be a "diving bottle", but an industrial bottle, as the valve has a tapered thread where it enters the neck of the cylinder, with PTFE tape round it. Apparently this is not how "diving bottles" are made...They always use an O ring seal like the one in the Ebay photo. The helpful guy on the phone at your Ebay link (cheers David...), says it sounds like a "25E" fitting, which as about a 1" OD taper thread.. The search continues!
