What have you done on sound Audio setup on a Supra - Subs/speakers/upgrades etc ?

Hi guys,

 

I'll be driving the Supra from next month just wondering what setup to go for since I'm looking to upgrade the speakers?

 

So far I've upgraded the radio set to a double din Pioneer system, but any other ideas would be of great help.

 

Also, does anyone sell them custom made subwoofers that you occasionally see for sale on the Facebook group? I've seen some really smart ones where you still have room for a spare wheel & a Subwoofer in the boot?

Here is the sub that I built. Copied idea from another member on here that built one identical (can't remember who tho). Made to measure so fits perfectly.

 

And no I'm not building another one.

 

Then I used a 4 channel and mono class D digital amps to power whole system. Class D amps are small so easier to find space to install..

I did a big ish install in mine. First step was to soundproof the car with Skinz. I put Focal door speakers in and tweeters, I used 2x 10" Planet Audio subs.

I then went for a fully active setup with three amps, 2x 4ch and 1x class D.

Controlling all that was an Audison BitOne.

 

I set the gains with a scope using 40Hz for the subs and a range of test tones for the mids.

Mines very simple. A OEM sub (which had uprated speaker) which fits just behind the rear seats in the boot and a 2 channel amp to power it.

I have a 10" sub with custom box in place of spare wheel and 4x focal speakers and tweeters. These all are powered with one class D 5ch amplifier.
