Thomas.B
Hey guys! I've finally found a little annoying oil leek I have on my car, it's on the oil relocation kit and I think it's the temp sensor. I need to find where I'll buy a replacement part. Anyone know where I can find it? Got a few pics Any help and I'm super thankful Edited March 28, 2016 by Thomas.B (see edit history)
bignum
I doubt oil is leaking through the sensor as they`re normally solid brass, more likely needs sealing in the filter housing, dowty seals are great here,https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=dowty+seal&rlz=1C1CHNY_enGB660GB661&espv=2&biw=1920&bih=985&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjgtYXLq-PLAhXBPxoKHX3XAG0QsAQILQ
Thomas.B
Hey. Nope it's from the sensor as everything else is checked and good, it's coming through the cable and down.
Mike2JZ
I would check that the sensor has not been cross threaded. Also you can try using some PTFE tape to help seal it.
Thomas.B
Well its not the bolt that is leeking its from where the cables go into the bolt. I'd rather just change the whole part out (if possible) than to fuss around and fill up around the cables as I dont want anything to happen when I'm on track.
