Glanza_Mike
Girl pulling power is overrated, few women will be wowed by any sub 10k car. They just like ferraris and lambos and the money that comes with them. I can see this one being contoversial

If we all stick bugatti...lambo...ferrari badges on our Supras...hmmm

Havard
Basically there is nothing at £10K that will be in the same class as a Supra or I would have one. H.
ianhid
If you want to pull women, spend the money on gym/clothes/them. If you want a fun car, that's a different thing . 335i with remap? Will be fast enough for most things but it's not jap, not sure how important that is to you.

j_jza80
I disagree. An xk8 Cabriolet can be had well under £10k, and they look like they cost much more http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/jaguar/xk8/jaguar-xk8-4-0-2dr-convertible-only-63000-miles/5080495?v=b Wouldn't consider one without a warranty though. I had considered everything in my comment. XK8 is a lot of car but only available as an auto and woefully unreliable. Also limited for tunability without spending silly amounts. Trust me, I have looked at everything over the last few years and having some level of class, manual gearbox and getting over 350 - 400Hp on RWD leaves very few options, sub £30K, nevermind £10K. H. Chris Wilson
Ok you have a £10K budget and there are no Supras, so what would you buy, criteria is performance, tuning potential, handling, quality of engineering,DIY possibilities, world wide petrol head status, stability at speed, aesthetics, girl pulling power.? Herbie. Small single turbo RX-7 with a spare engine. As for girl pulling power, shouldn't you be being realistic like myself, and putting that nonsense aside and be thinking more in terms of a nice strong nurse to help you about? Max5437
With regard to girl pulling power I don't think any car around this budget will suffice, even a supra. I'm 20 and single and have had literally 1 female genuinely interested in my cars, they want a fancy shiny new car or something with a huge price tag

I was specifically replying to the comment above mate I really like the autobox in the XK, it isn't sporty, but then it isn't really supposed to be. Absolutely spot on about reliability. As if the car gods didn't hate me enough (Supra issues, Corrado paint issues, dad's newly purchased classic SL) my dad has just today decided to buy an XK8 Cabriolet. No doubt muggins here will end up working on this new purchase. On the plus side, I suppose at least I get to drive it without worrying about the running costs. herbiemercman
Chris you well know "you are as old as who you feel", you were quoted as saying, " i did lots of terrible things to girls when i first met them and they loved it" or some thing like that. Some girls love cars and owners who smell of Castro "R" like you. Herbie. lol.x
Dragonball
RX-7 - Err... how many engines do you want to buy? Skyline GTR - show me one for £10K please? Jag - would not buy anything before 2007 In the end I went for a Baby Beemer (Jag was an option - but do not feel that old yet!) 135i Convertible as I wanted a drop-top. Standard 320Hp and easily tuned to nearly 400hp - with corresponding TQ - especially if the N54 engine.
drift_bear
I had my R33 GTR Vspec up for £10k and got nothing but low ball offers due to the start of the strut top rust sadly. I'm currently waiting to find a transporter to send it away for breaking
tooquicktostop
I went to look at a black R32 GTR a few weeks ago, it was very nice original car and less that 9K

Kendo11
It'd have be something old school American muscle with a v8 Beat me to it. Any classic American muscle car for me too. 10k would get you a very nice one including importing. I've always liked the look of the Peugeot RCZ too. Boring I know! Chriss
I can recommend the Toyota Chaser, fast, RWD, 4 doors, easy to power up 1JZ engine and reliability.
Crash Bandicoot
I'm in the same predicament, I've got 14.5k and I'm looking for a TT6. NONE available. Looking down the route of M5 or M6, even thought about a 350z build, either supercharged or turbo'd.
Glanza_Mike
I'd just wait mate, 14.5k will get you a TT6, just wait a bit longer..
Chris Wilson
I've always liked the look of the Peugeot RCZ too. Boring I know! I saw one at a race meeting when they first came out and it was getting as much if not more, attention than a Ferrari 330GT parked near it. FWD though, couldn't be doing with that. If only it was mid engined.... Beautiful looking car that manages to look that bit different without being unaffordable! The two people that I know who own one have both had lots of minor issues that Peugeot took ages to fix though. It *IS* French so no surprise there

Dave Carroll
Thats the bit i dont like with 350z thefrench collaboration on it No French collaboration on the Z33, or Z34 / R35 for that matter. Unless you count some small carry over components (lamps and such)
