evinX
Got a replacement airvent as mines all floppy and opens and closes when it wants For the life of me and i cant get it out, dropped both glove boxes and only found 2 tabs but the plastic surround wont release. I tried to pry out the vent with the square tabs at the top and bottom but if i go too far it might break. Would like to crack this one in the coming weekend so anyone done this before? Samurai 20V
I think these are bolted to the IP reinforcement.. They only come off with the dash out..

Mk4Gaz
If you remove the upper glove box, you'll find one or two screws on the side of the vent. The last screw is hidden behind it, right at the top. It's a total prick to get out, I ended up using a ph2 screwdriver bit on an adaptor (to fit a 1/4" ratchet), and manged to get it undone using my fingers on the bit If you look at your replacement one, you'll see the slot in the top. The screw goes through that
