after long term relationship (8.5 years) i met my new gf and for the first date we went to a lovely park for a long walk and chat. that led to dinner that night, which led to sex on the first date and spending the night together, which has now led to a 2 year super relationship and engagement :D

let your gut do the work mate! if you think and plan too much, it wont flow, be natural, both of you mess up and trust me your similarities will come out and it will be fun!

try not to talk about ur ex but be honest, tell her what you have experienced but make sure u smile and tell her your over it and learnt from it, express your strengths no weaknesses.

I took my girlfriend out in the supra when we first met and I showed more interest in my car than her. She still picks me up on this to this day. :D

Our first official date though was Thorpe park. Went down quite well. :) always good laughs and you are a right mess by the end of the day which gets you both in a "you've seen me in all lights" mood which breaks the ice!

Ice skating is good holding hands if your s#1t at it , having a laugh falling over .

But if I was you dates would be the last thing on my mind going out having fun when I want and how I want would be it and if I met a bird while out then fair play.

Only thing about being single is week day bordem but that can be taken up with the gym or something

There are so many porn sites now who needs a women ;)

Picked my mrs up sposed to go skiing, got there too late, then drove to pics, got there too late to see anything, went bowling instead, you'd think it wasn't going well, wasn't a great start, didn't phase her. Date lasted over 24 hours, in our ninth year. :D She says if I'd turned up in the supra I have now we wouldn't be together as she'd have thought I was right tosser.

I think it depends how you have met. If you already know each other then meal is easy option. If you've met online for instance then keep it light and simple for first date -you don't want to be stuck at a meal if you don't click with them (been there!). Hopefully you have some mutual interests so activity based dates are always good - I met my girlfriend of one year (tomorrow actually) after lots of online dating - we both love dogs so first date was a nice relaxed walk in woodland. You are more likely to be yourself (and they are) rather than a meal where each of you can try too hard. I also did a lot of coffee dates, not a big fan but it at least gets the initial meeting done.

I've also done fruit picking which led to lunch on a beach, that was best date ever. We got stranded and had to jump in a river fully clothed, I'm not the greatest swimmer but had to be the guy so ran and jumped in without checking how deep it was - luckily my toes just touched the bottom (and I'm 6foot4). Memorable date, we went out for 3-4 months after that.

Well I took a much older women out during the week for some drinks and had a blast. (I seem to find older women more appealing and have way more to talk about) I am 24 and women are 30+ I seem to be talking to. The oldest being 50 but looks amazing! I think Im weird but nun the less the couple women I've been for drinks with have so far been amazing and great conversation.

Great help from this thread

Chloroform is your friend ;)

"Phwoaaar, does this new hanky smell of something to you?"

Flunitrazepam is also useful. Have fun ;)

Lol I had to google Flunitrazepam though never heard of that one.

I would say dinner however make sure YOU pay or it will probably be the last time you see her!

Good luck
