Best first dates?

Well I'm now out now a long term relationship (5 and half years) now I'm not looking at jumping into another but wondered what you guys do for a first date or opinions on a great first date.

I've been told the cinema is not great so I'm out of practise :D

The usual I guess is obvious so a dinner date as you can talk but what would you guys and girls suggest as a great first date.

Cheers Ant

Really depends on what you both are like.

Last first date I went on we went to the park on a lovely sunny day and fed the ducks, had a great time chatting with no

dodgy silent moments like you could get having dinner together.

The cinema is pointless as far as first dates go, sitting in the dark in silence ??

Similar to dunk really, I borrowed my mothers cute little dog, and went to the beach, long walk, chatting, silent moments just mess with the dog, then as it went well, arranged the same night to go for a few drinks.

Just over a year later she's still doing my nut in!!

I've also had one at a theme park! Was good too.

I'm thinking rent a Labrador puppy for the day would be a better option :)

ha ha getting risky now if it turns out to be long term but would make a great story one day.......also maybe set up someone pretending to get "attacked" so you can "save the day" in front of her :D

Hi Ant, hope all is ok mate, I would wine and dine at a decent place where she can dress up, have nice food and a drink but be able to talk so not to crazy or loud!

Depends what your after from the first date really as to how to play it ;)

Everything is fine just looking for some good ideas. :)

Meet up and just stare at your phones for a few hours, all the rage with the kids.

Typically I just take them somewhere they like e.g. mini golf or a frigging museum or something, then drinks and see what happens. normally at this point they see "omg I wanna see your dog" where we go back to mine, watch a movie, let my dog jump on them and be all cute, lock him back in the kitchen, and then I drag her into my basement and pork her.

I guess the most successful dates are if you have a dog or not

You might as well introduce her to the Supra and take her for a spin. Best to show her what she will be competing against early on :p

Don't go to the Cinema, one of the worst ideas for a first date. Dinners can be interrogations if you aren't careful. Drinks or an ourdoor activity of some sort is what I go with.

All this is very premature. First do a credit check. Then check out her parents and near relatives, financially, criminally, and as best you can, genetically. Then think about risking a few quid on the bint....

Always scope out the mother, cause that's what you will end up with.
