chrex
Hi Guys, Been keeping a low profile building up my Supra, it has just come out the bodyshop and it's time to sort some shoes out for it. So...i have scoured the forums, UK and US for an answer over the last few weeks but have come up short so i need to ask for some knowledge on here. Basicly I am looking at a set of JR11's, and for starters can't decide on 18 or 19. I love the look of the 19's but I know the 18's would be better for handling and help keep the car feeling like it's on it's toes. What i am really after knowing is - if i go 10.5 on the back, can it be done on non-rolled arches and what offset should i be aiming for. It's going to have coilovers on it and i'm going to be looking for the tidily flush-to-arch look. I don't want to stretch the tyres so if it's a no-go then just say it. Looking at 9.5's up front (around ET25) and want the staggered look...hence the chunky rears. Any guidance appreciated, Chris
James
I needed to roll my rears on my previous Supra with 18x9.5 ET35 when I changed the tyre size from 255/35 to 275/35 as they scrubbed with the 275s. I have flared rears on my current Supra so can't go and measure for you. As a point of reference, the stock rear wheels are 17x9.5 ET50. I've been running them over winter with a 25mm spacer and don't have any issues, but as I said, I have a flare so it isn't like for like. Though, that would be the equivalent of a 10.5" wide ET38 (well, 37.7 ). As for the 9.5 ET25 front, you'll need to run a smaller tyre for that if the arch hasn't been worked at all. Something like a 225/35 depending on how low your car is. That is quite an aggressive size though. Hope that helps Chris
Dnk
Do you know what size wheels you have now, as in diameter, width and offset ? If you do use http://www.willtheyfit.com measure the clearance you have now and this will give you a very good idea what'll fit Afraid my car had wide arch kit so can't help with stock body fitment

I think i'm going to just go 18x9.5 front and back. I can get ET22 rears and ET35 fronts which should be spot on. The wheels that are on it at the moment are 16's - absolutely honking and completely pointless for trying to measure up.
