Al Massey
Sad times Did anyone else see the weekends episode of Click? They were at some refugee camps and were documenting / processing everybody this included taking iris scans etc. According to the report this is information is shared among agencies, so its not impossible We (the armed forces both UK and foreign) have been doing this for years in Iraq and Afghanistan It's how we managed to capture and prevent so many terrorists over there. We also conducted DNA familial tests on everyone we meet of interest or anyone who enters camps and detainees. The database was huge and we could plot who was related to who and who had been where. imi
I was also thinking , how close these attacks are to the latest Season of Homeland , especially the Berlin episodes If you look into how they are now evading authorities in comparison to previous fail attempts , Homeland just gave them the blue print! Using Burner phones, encryption software , multiple attacks to stretch services , home made devices, small deversions Like in German they need to bring in a legal obligation to register a phone sim in your name on purchase! I wouldn't be surprised if the authorities know their whereabouts however without solid proof of intent etc are unable to act and do anything about it. Like Massey says even when they are captured they can't prosecute nor deport. Seems like the terrorists have more rights than the innocent victims and potential others We do it to ourselves trying to be holier than thou.. Kendo11
Agree - however that won't solve the current problem as the enemy are Europeans / in our case Brits. That's partly the greatest challenge in all of this. Firstly, they're fighting for an 'ideology', not land/resources/etc. Secondly, a lot of them are already European citizens. I read a comment earlier on Twitter that seriously makes you think: If you're a born and bred European and you go off to fight for isis and isis start losing, or you get bored, all you have to do is decide to come home. I think that's the best explanation for the situation around the world at the moment.
imi
I think that's the best explanation for the situation around the world at the moment. ISIS have already said on record that they will sent their militia to Europe via the Refugee crisis - so their intent on destroying anything that is against their ideology is clear. Big Supes
All this constructive talk needs to stop. It could actually get us somewhere. Instead, please change your FB profile picture to include a back drop of the Belgium flag and hug the nearest Muslim. It'll go away.
Graham1984
Looks like the Dutch have just had a situation at a train station.

Although not directly referring to isis, Assad said something similar many years ago.

Kendo11
My first beer tonight for 18 months has taken me on a random Internet journey. So I stumbled on this that I found interesting. https://charliehebdo.fr/en/edito/how-did-we-end-up-here/
