Recaro Seats - option from toyota

HI All

In the ongoing saga of my (very slow) supra restoration I was looking at new seats.

It turns out that my car may have been fitted with the optional recaro seats from the factory. Its a jspec tt 6speed vvti.

I always thought they were aftermarket recaro seats.

Is it the case that Toyota used recaro speeds as an option at the time, as mine look remarkably like them?

Pic included. Apologies for the rubbish photo, but you get the idea

More importantly can the be restored as they are in a sorrowful condition.

I would love to get these restored in black leather, with new bolsters etc.

Correct.

I've got OEM Recaros and rails in both my cars and the felt is a sure fire way of telling.

Had to run out to check.

Recliner knobs door sides only.

Well that's good news :), kinda ..... as it leaves me with a bit of a decision.

I was looking at new ones as the ones I have are in a sorry state, but now don't want to bin the oem ones.

Any really good re-trimmers around. Thinking all black leather with some nice dark grey stitching and some detailing.
