Dnk
Can I remove the vent pipe that goes up through the roof and cap off the soil pipe at floor level. The soil pipe will only have water from a shower and basin going into now as were doing away with the en suite toilet and creating a shower room. Dnk
Researching this and found a one way valve should be fitted to allow air to be drawn into the soil pipe I want to remove the piece arrowed in red and the vent pipe above it and then fit this valve in the piece arrowed yellow http://www.screwfix.com/p/floplast-push-fit-air-admittance-valve-grey-af110/78150;jsessionId=1ZqpRnpDkl7K96dSJMJghn072C9s1wZMhcQGlm722srdzJy2h72C!-811273355!1366187619957

Mk4Gaz
Yep, you can fit a dergo valve (air admittance valve) like you've found. This will also the stack pipe to draw air in to breathe, but stop smells I to the room
