Richie_k83
Good to see so much Positive feedback on this Link Stuff... I was looking at the PnP one for my Throttle Body install for simplicity, seem good bang for buck.

berg
Just had my G4+ mapped on my car Superb bit of kit, has all the fail safe functions using the sensors, Toucan display all setup to it too Well happy i went for it Only downside to some is it doesnt control an autobox
mkivtt
Do you mind telling us who installed and mapped it please? I do like the Link software, from the point of view of ease of use and clarity of function. Hi Chris, I am from Australia/Malaysia so yeah the car was mapped by JPC.com.au in Melbourne, Australia. The car is now in Malaysia. It is really good ecu but i do find it slow in releasing new stuff vs other brands.

Samurai 20V
So, is the Kurofune ECU able to run the sequential stock twins? Knock control from the stock sensors? Any other sensors needed? http://www.linkecu.com/products/wirein-ecus/g4-kurofune/

Samurai 20V
Thanks mate.. So it's a standalone that runs as a piggyback just as the FCon does? Of course with much more features..

Only thing the stock ecu controls is the turbos as far as i understand
Nodalmighty
I had a TT running on the old G3 XLEM donkey's ago in full sequential. If you piggyback them they work with the autobox just fine. You just need to know what to take control of and what to leave to the stock ecu.
Samurai 20V
Only things I need to confirm is can a wideband 02 sensor be connected to the Kurofune and does it pull timing when it detects knock..
mkivtt
Yes, wideband can be connected, and yes knock detection works well as long as you have the sensor calibrated properly for your engine. You could actually download latest copy of the link software and load up kurofune's sample map and you can see all the features that are supported. I wish Thunder also have analog volts out like in Kurofune !!!! Link should have done this ahead of other ecu....hmm..

wrighty338
Very interesting thread guys top stuff. Do they do an off the shelf ECU for the later VVTI supras?
V8KILR
Very interesting thread guys top stuff. Do they do an off the shelf ECU for the later VVTI supras? Unfortunately there is no plug-in for the VVTi Supra's. However, all of the wire-in Link G4+ range can run the VVTi.

Yea, and is a great opportunity to do away with alot of the 20yr old wiring and have a real trick custom loom!!
Samurai 20V
Anyone know how I would handle the speed limit & boost limit if I keep the stock ECU & run the Kurofune?
mkivtt
Very interesting thread guys top stuff. Do they do an off the shelf ECU for the later VVTI supras? They used to have pnp adapter box back then and i am actually still running that adapter to date but now with newer Thunder ecu(upgrade from vipec v88). I just don't understand why they drop that product. Edited December 10, 2016 by mkivtt (see edit history)
