ashloys
I've got an old macbook that I havent used in about a year. The battery won't charge even after I've replaced both the battery and the charger, still no luck. I assume it's the motherboard? Has anyone else had this problem? I'd really like to get it fixed so I could use it for media and streaming stuff again, even sell it on for a spare few quid. It's got upgraded ram, SSD etc and it still ran as good as the day I bought it up until it stopped working. Any help appreciated
Hitbox Junkie
might be the connector on the laptop? could be a dry soldier joint that has now failed and come lose.
ashloys
Didn't notice that when I inspected it before. Tbh I just remembered I had it and now I've got my mind set on fixing it lol. I'll check that on Wednesday whenever I get a chance.
Annabella
Disconnect the battery, take out the ram, try one stick in on its own, try booting it without the battery reconnected. Alternatively buy a lenovo from saveonlaptops with a normal hard drive like : http://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/80LT00GWUK-Lenovo-B50-80_1810580.html and stick your SSD in it. Use Acronis clone disk to clone the hard drive to the SSD in a desktop if you have one, then end up with a cheap fast i3 laptop.
ashloys
I already have an i7 gaming laptop with 16gb of ram, ssd and an nvidia GTX870M so no need to use parts from it to stick in a different laotop, I need this one fixed to use for media in my bedroom or to sell on just.
