Sean_Julian
To install a new carpet into the car, do i just Place it straight over the metal work?? It also Has these weird swirls that look a lot like filler (Circled in the pictures) on the floor of the car.. Should I just place the new carpet straight over Them? mc92
When I took mine out it had quite a thick foam underlay on the bottom which should smooth over those little blobs of panel glue or whatever they are. You can try sanding them off for peace of mind but I don't think they'll make any difference to how it sits.
Sean_Julian
Okay thanks mate. I'll look into buying a OEM carpet hopefully with underlay underneath!
Andrew K
Shouldn't there be some sort of sound deadening material stuck down it those areas?
Sean_Julian
Well I brought the car like this so just sorting it out, and that's what i was thinking.. Sound deadening flooring before the carpet is layed down.
