trebor69
Having deleted my air con and buying the new shorter 6pk1865 belt, just tried to put it on and it will not fit. Even with the tensioner maxed out the belt is still far from going over the pulley, the belt will sit on the bottom of the pulley but will not stretch over the other 60-70 per cent of the pulley, I've put a standard size belt on and it seems to fit quite well, I'm wondering if anybody else has had this? I went with the air con delete on my other supra (1jz) and the 1865 belt fit.... Why am I having problems with this one ????? trebor69
Forgive me, I was having a moment.....I had checked that it was routed correctly and couldn't understand why it didn't fit, so I checked again and yes it was routed correctly.....walked away scratching head, went in, had a brew, came back out and checked the routing and it was wrong its been a long week, this N/A-T ing is more work than I thought. Chris Wilson
Have you left the front of the A/C compressor in place? if not expect to see the block scrapped as the PAS pump is now only upported of a single lug on the block casting. trebor69
Yes mate, stop worrying , A/C unit was stripped and the bracket reused.
