monkey76364
We had live 8, we had Feed the world ... but now comes the most important one to date, thats right its BOX AID! as some are aware Babe has been made homeless and has no where for her and her little one and the Supra. SO why not start BOX AID. The aim: To collect and get local shops to donate nice large size boxes. Im thinking if we get enough together we can put male a nice two up two down house, on suite for each of the rooms, maybe a hot tub out back, and of course that all important garage for the car. So get those donations sent in !!!! lol (If you cant simle about it you will go mad!)
SupraStar 3000
I hear Bob Geldof is making a TV appeal for Aid tonight at 8:
Babe
Haha. Housing Association won't help me til I'm in a shelter coz I'm in a massive house and there's only 3 of us living here. Council won't put me in a shelter til he phones them, and he hasn't yet - all I've got is a letter. Cardboard City here I come!
JustGav
Okay..... How long have you been with this bloke.... If you have been with him for 3 years or more, then legally you are a common-law wife and such you are entitled to a portion of the house, regardless of whose name it is in.. also if you paid ANY of the bills you are entitled... Yes, I learnt this the hard way, had to pay my ex 25 large Gav
Babe
Two and a half years. He got stung for £200,000 in his divorce, so I never paid any bills or rent coz it's his house and he didn't want me to have any claims on it, which was fine by me. Don't want his money, never did, I'm not that shallow!
mikeyb10supra
If he didnt want you to have any claims on it.....did you get the idea that he may of been doing it for a reason??
Babe
Yeah, self-protection, which was quite understandable considering he had to give his ex £200,000! Like I said, I didn't care coz I wasn't interested in his money, and I'm still not! I hope it keeps him warm at night!

Snooze
If you have been with him for 3 years or more, then legally you are a common-law wife "Common-law" marriage means nothing in the UK. However - if you are contributing in any way - bills, etc. there can be quite a strong case for a claim. cashpoint
Can also get my hands on a 40" flat panel TV box that would be good for a whole wall:)

Source: http://www.advicenow.org.uk/fileLibrary/pdf/housing.pdf I thought that although it wasn't automatic, you could still apply for common-law status in the UK? ...although why anyone would want to do this is beyond me. It's pretty much just a mechanism for getting half of your ex-partner's stuff without having to contribute towards it. Or maybe I'm just cynical. _Lick_
I work In a shop we have 100s of boxes, big small you name it. Got some nice new ones with all the Halloween stuff in them today and a lot of Christmas ones (yeah already!!) you can have them all, saves having to get the skip emptied as often *LOL* yeah, self-protection, which was quite understandable considering he had to give his ex £200,000!
