MrBrooks
Hi all. I'm having difficulty deciding what discs & pads I want for my import Supra. Any help would be awesome, especially coming from those who have used any of the products mentioned. I'm running the smaller Japanese calipers so smaller discs & different pads. I'll be doing a track day in April and will be using the car for road use as well. In regards to discs: EBC - The two options I'm looking at are Turbo Groove and Ultimax Discs. Would the Turbo Groove be better suited for fast road and track? I've heard mixed stories about grooved AND drilled (Ultimax) Mintbitz Discs - I've seen these discs on eBay. They're drilled and grooved and this is for a full set - £149.99. Has anyone ever used Mintbitz discs? I've heard they're also traded under "MTEC" - any good? Link Piranha discs - I've seen Piranha discs on eBay for about £80 (only found rear so far). Opinions? In regards to pads: EBC - Yellow stuff pads is the choice in mind. Am I correct in thinking the part number for front set is DP41004R and the rear set is DP41008R? Chris Wilson - I've heard people mention his name and I'm aware he's on the MKIV Supra forum. What are the average prices and how do they spec up against EBC Yellow Stuff for example? TIA!
Dnk
Call Chris Wilson, stock Toyota discs with his pads i'd have thought was the way to go
Stonkin
As above, go with stock Toyota discs. Don't waste your money on the examples mentioned. Call Chris Wilson for a set of his pads. Chris's details - 07971-952084 [email protected] Perhaps look at replacing the brake fluid and some braided lines for a better pedal feel

Toyota part numbers 43512-14190 DISC, FRONT x 2 42431-30140 DISC, REAR x 2 As well as braided lines and decent fluid, I'd also recommend fitting a brake master cylinder stopper, they really make a big difference to the pedal feel and braking. rider
I used EBC replacement discs (non grooved) and red stuff pads. They have been perfect for my use. I spent about £140 from memory and they have performed well. Old discs rattled whereas these don't.

heckler
If you have the funds... put UK spec brakes/CW Pads on (assuming you have 17" wheels!) - makes a mahoosive difference.
