Suprakeith
Right will start at the beginning put supra in garage around Christmas time as was all running fine, few weeks later went out to start her and nothing I suspected battery but charged and checked volts and all fine. Thought could be ignition switch so checked that and again all fine. So purchased new starter motor to eliminate that. Removed old starter motor today and spotted that the wire that goes from starter wiring loom to switch on side of engine block has snapped so believe that's why car wasn't starting. Can't get the switch out block or the connector off due to where it is and not having good access, was hoping to get it off so could re-wire and fit new starter motor to get her running. Am after if anyone else has had problem and managed to remove connector or switch and advice please and any pictures or the name and part number so can order new one. It has a 29mm nut I believe and sits bout inch under inlet manifold in the side of block. Hopefully have put down enough information for bit of help, can't really get picture of it but if needed can take picture of the damaged wire to help with any help Thank you in advance just want to get this sorted asap so supra can get ready to have bumpers painted and get her back on road
Suprakeith
Been told it's a knock sensor would that make sense as it's wired into ignition loom, can anyone shed any information please as really want to get car fixed as soon as
supra matt
Hi mate yes sounds like a knock sencor but that won't stop the car starting! When you turn the key what happens? Does it do anything at all? It still could be your battery is flat you need to take the voltage when you are trying to start it as it could still show 12v with no load been drawn. Suprakeith
Thank you and when turned key, just heard a click noise, did try jump starting her and another battery and all same that's why purchased new starter motor as think the solenoid my be faulty. My main worry now is the knock sensor wire as looks like the connector corroded and the wire has come out of it.

Suprakeith
Well finally had time to fit new starter motor today and still no joy starting supra, when try just get a click noise and that's it, and then when turn key sometimes no dash lights come on so think must be electrical fault have checked all fuses and can't find any faulty ones. So if anyone has any ideas or knows of good garage in east anglia area please let me know as I need to get supra running soon and am out of my depth
