Jellybean
I know this is on here somewhere but who knows what the thread title is Q: how are they using the intake of one of the blocks as an Exhaust?

MattP
Every time this build pops up I am more and more impressed Genuine no shit functionality.. when everybody whined saying he will never do it. I can't see a combined exhaust intake pipe it looks like 2 turbos into two intercoolers and into the throttle bodies to me. Then the impressive rocket looking exhaust pipes I think. Does the bloke mention a intake/exhaust combo? Actually I see what you mean now.... Jellybean
asked Marty ,looks like Head was reversed then front and rear sections cut and swapped round then rewelded to make an arse about face head
MattP
I'm purely guessing here but is it not possible (as this guy will likely be using aftermarket bigger valves and ECU) to match the valves in each cam side as required and swap the cams around on one block and essentially use an intake side an exhaust and vice versa? I'm sure 1j and 2j use bigger exhaust valves then intake. The combustion priciple is the same its not a be all end all which side you use as long as the ECU knows what to do on each bank of cylinders as the 1J and 2j both have injection mounted on the intake runners. ripped_fear
This is something else, I love all the random pictures that keep popping up of it. Plus every time it resurfaces it seems to have progressed massively. Is there a link to the actual full build somewhere?
mellonman
As above in the other thread it showed the earlier stages and you could see the heads where reversed iirc. Its been some years comming this but loolks to be an amazing build For all that effort he may as well just put in the v8 that he has on the floor Edited February 14, 2016 by mellonman (see edit history)

MattP
What exactly is it supposed to be though? I'm sure he is only using it for drag days if I remember correctly.
