Scott
It tooks 15 minutes when first switched on to download loads of add-ons. I'll remove them and install SALT, haven't really had chance to play with it much. Any other must have installs? Sportsdevil is the other must have for me. Navi-x can be useful at times. I currently have: Sports Devil SALTS Phoenix (Not much use now that rockcrusher is gone) ZEUS (Not working justnow but it's the best with iVue) CCLoud (Useful with iVue and streaming live telly) iVue (Looks like a sky interface with what's on the telly) Navi-X (last resort for me, tonnes of stuff but it's organisation is awful)

Scott
Scott - Whats the best Kodi box to get In essence they are all pretty much the same. However, the better the hardware the faster it runs and the more headroom there is for processing (4k, 3D, etc). I recommend this one..... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Octa-Core-KODI-TV-Box-Android-5-1-Lollipop-Smart-Player-FULLY-LOADED-4K-5GHz-UK-/400758047911?hash=item5d4f0a84a7:g:OQYAAOSwiwVWSgYL If you get it, I would recommend removing Kodi then re-installing it and starting from scratch. It being fully loaded means it's fully bloated IMO. You only need a few addons and the less you have the slicker it'll run and the less confusing it is to navigate etc.
johnny g
I played with all that but found iVue2 much less hassle. We're running 28.2, 19.2, 16 and 13E - then all of the Bein sports + NBC Sports. Every single 3pm game. It's epic.
Graham1984
Is there any difference between having a box or just using a laptop like myself? I don't get the point in a firestick etc if you can use a laptop for free, minus I guess ease of use having it in the tv and not using a HD lead. At this moment in time I have the following..... Wee box in living room Wee box upstairs Laptop My Tablet My Girls tablet My Wifes tablet My Phone All of the above have kodi and all share the same MySQL database of stuff. That means if I watch something downstairs, the database updates and everything else syncs to know that I've watched it. We all access a central server of stuff too. It's a great setup IMO. As much as the laptop is handy, it's a PITA way to do things IMO
Scott
Can the Kodi software play blu-rays out of interest? If you have a bluray player in the hardware then yes. Unless you mean bluray rips.... in that case yes too. Just on the off chance, have any of you found an add on with an English subtitle version of the series 'The Bridge'? TIA If you enable the subtitles on the show itself, you can then download the subtitles for the show while you are watching. I use opensub for foreign films

Scott
Is Kodi down tonight? After reading everything you've put Scott I decided to have a go at putting it on my Firestick and its just timing out. The kodi site was down earlier today so I'm guessing it's still down. I used the google cache to find the Kodi link I was after for, the actual downloads are still live. I believe you are after the ARM86 version. Going to get it installed in a bit. http://bestforkodi.com/install-exodus-addon-kodi/ There's a clone of Genesis out now. I've not tried it in anger but it looks fine. It's called specto. I've been meaning to give the one you linked a go too. Might try it out tonight.

Scott
I just gave Exodus a go. It doesn't allow for Library integration which is pretty much my Kodi world. Sticking with specto for now

Willson
I've installed Trakt with Exodus, and its logging I what mark as viewed (shame it doesn't do it automatically?). I'm wondering if it can present me with a list of 'next episodes' rather than having to manually select them.

It allows you to add full series to your "TV Shows". It means you don't need to go into the addon to select a show, they're all listed in your TV Show section of Kodi. Scott
Ah right! Thanks So much to learn! Once you have installed Specto have a look at this guide... https://seo-michael.co.uk/how-to-integrate-genesis-with-xbmc-library/ Once that's done, search for a show, click the "menu" button on it then click "add to library". Once it's finished, go back to the home screen and you'll see what I mean
