Guest SCOOBYKILLA
Hey guys I recently bought a very rough bodied supra rz 94 to take the manual gearbox out of and diff etc to convert my 98 rz-s tiptronic into 6 speed manual.. Now after lots of reading and searching this is what I have come up with.. Need off it list... Gearbox/clutch flywheel (v160) etc Rear b303b diff driveshaft's etc Prop shaft Need to find a centre tunnel prefer new (cant find part number to order... Brake pedal clutch pedal and brake cylinder.. Gearbox speedo sensor wires Traction controller sensor? Now I am sure I have missed a couple of bits but I have 2 complete running cars (donor and the auto) to play with.. Now here are my questions which I cant seem to find on google etc The 2 ecus in each car ie my auto vvti ones, and the 94 rz manuals ones, which ones will I use?? Will the big master cylinder be the same in both cars (its looks the same) The other cylinder is only in the manual so I know I need that and to fit/drill firewall etc I have read that thread//blog on the American full conversion but that's kind of not what I am doing here.. Hopefully some one can help and explain for me the ecu issue?? and the master cylinder too?? Cheers guys and girls

David P
You need a VVTI ECU because it's a VVTI engine, the auto ECU will run it, but a manual VVTI ECU would run it better. Auto ECU in manual application may still have random timing retards when it thinks the gears should change.
Scott
Definitely better with the manual ECU as David has suggested. There are different limiters in the auto's etc. I can't recall, but it may not rev past 4k when at a standstill for example. You'll need the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder also. Guest SCOOBYKILLA
Ok cheers guys I will track down a vvti (guessing aristo or supra one will do) manual ecu.. maybe a daft question but the huge disc cylinder that's the same hey?? I just need the one to the right of it installed... This will be my first conversion so all is new to me...
David P
An Aristo manual VVTI ECU would work, but your air con never will.

Hitbox Junkie
best scenario is a Supra VVTi manual ECU or bite the bullet and buy syvecs ECU, then your 1 step closer to single or big twins but that is what I would do.
Guest SCOOBYKILLA
syvecs don't wanna mess around yet getting tune... does anyone have the part number for the supra manual vvti ecu??
j_jza80
I would try and source a used one, a new ecu will cost a fortune
Guest SCOOBYKILLA
yeah will scour ebay for it found some already but they advertise it for the aristo and supra that's why need to get the part numbers...

Sandesupra
The part number for the 6spd sub tunnel: 58261-14010
Sandesupra
the big disk cylinder thing you are reffering to is the brake cylinder. you will too take the master clutch cylinder, from the donor car. the holes are there allready Should just be a rubber plug there:-), the slave cylinder is on the box. Stephendjb
Don't bother looking for a manual Aristo ecu there's no such thing.
Guest SCOOBYKILLA
Ok cheers for that wont bother, been reading up on my ecu, and it maybe worth keeping onto it for now as a few people reckon (on google) that my ecu will run the car fine... Scott
Just did for $165 dollars!! now trying to get the last 2 bolts out of the top of the gearbox :-( Those are fun. You need a lot of extensions and a knuckle if you're doing it on your own.
