NO LONGER FOR SALE

After much head scratching i'm selling my UK TT as I might be going to the dark side and getting a new Civic Type R!

A brief resume of the Supra is as follows:

1994 UK TT Auto in Astral Black with Ivory Leather.

Totally standard UK car, everything as it left the factory.

92k on the clock with full, stamped and documented Toyota history.

I am the third owner.

1 years MOT on her.

No Corrosion AT ALL

This car has always been well looked after and no expense spared, as all the history proves.

I have recently spent £1200 at Whifbitz who gave the engine a once over and the work included:

New Valve stem seals

New Cam Belt

New Tensioner

New Crank Seal

New Rocker Cover Seals etc

New Turbo Intake Pipes

New Boot Rubbers (stops the annoying rattle!)

She now needs nothing and is an absolute pleasure to own and drive.

She sits on good Michelin Pilot Tyres and has very clean paintwork.

Everything works, even the Air Con.

The only item that needs attention is the Factory 6 disc CD changer - it doesn't want to work. The radio and tape work fine though.

As I said, i'm not really sure if now is a good time to sell but the lure of a CTR is strong!

I would like £10500.00 which I think is a fair price for this rare gem of a car.

Paul

I don't know really, just testing the water. I wouldn't want to be greedy, but there are no stock UK cars about to get an idea how to value it?

Anyway, who wants a clunky old manual unless you're planning drag racing ;)

Drag racing is for autos, everyone knows they are quicker and better!

You might be right with the price, it's just my opinion that it is worth more. After the recent debacle with another for sale thread you should probably get a mod to move this to Supra Chat and change the title to "what is it worth"?

At least all the right info can be gleaned without cluttering up your for sale thread and you can star a fresh thread and use the template here - http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?307494-Sales-Thread-Template-Please-copy-and-paste-this

Wasn't this for sale on PH a few weeks ago? Recognize the plate

I hope not, or someone has cloned my number plates!

You might be thinking of the leggy one they featured in their 'Spotted' feature?

Are you actually selling it as the first line of your advert says your "tentatively considering" selling it ?

How long have you owned the car ?

Is the paintwork okay, is it original or has it had repairs ?

Has it had much other work done other than service work ? any major parts replaced other than what you've listed

such as radiator, heater matrix, diff cooler, suspension arms dampers etc

Did the crank pulley get replaced when the cam belt etc work was done ?

Anymore photos of it, engine bay, interior showing drivers seat fully, top of dash where it meets the screen and

underneath the car would be nice :)

Seeing as it says for sale in the classified section then I assume it's for sale. Another member got a lot of stick for that so I'd post in another section if it's not for sale

That's how I see it but in the OP's opening line it says and I quote " After much head scratching i'm tentatively considering selling my UK TT"

I can't find it written anywhere but I think this should be written as a rule, that the car must actually be for sale to be In this section. I know it's common sense but appears some people are still doing it.

Supra lover talk for, "I will sell it at the fair asking price, no tyre kickers or low ballers", which is a lot better than the usual "gauging interest" b#ll#cks.

Message to the O.P. edit those 2 highlighted words out for the benefit of the standards of Club written English, for which the whole site by sheer force of number of numbnuts has descended into a dickless Dicks mobile phone playpen.

(It took me an hour last night to decipher a 3 short line dyslexic grunt in the Tech section)

To me that's exactly the same as "gauging interest" and that sort of thread definitely shouldn't be in the classifieds.

For the benefit of a few hen's feathers, please would the O.P. or a Mod simply remove those 2 trees in the wood and let the dogs see the rabbit?

Or would that spoil a good old old wives witch hunt?

Please don't think I disapprove of the objections, I would love to see this outcry for correctly written English spread across the site and restore the Club's Fog index.

Hi Dnk,

If you're interested PM me and I'll give you my number, we can then have a chat about the car. I find that's a much easier way than trying to communicate with an audience!

No offence mate but if you advertise on here you get an audience, I might be interested so if you could up date the thread with regard to my questions

that would be great.

It's much easier for me and others to get all the info this way :)

Correct, washing and driving the car yesterday made me realise she's too good to sell. Apologies (on the phone) to 88Le, nice guy and a genuine enthusiast buyer.
